To the future owners of 2400 Forest Lane,
About 11 years ago, I lived 2 miles from this property. One of my good friends lived in Forest Hills, and I went to visit her and passed this house. It had a For Sale sign on it which caught my attention, and when I looked at the house from the street, the curb appeal was incredible. The interior of the house is a showplace. It is absolutely breathtaking. I immediately envisioned myself living in this house. This house was the model home for the new section of Forest Hills, and it has all of the upgrades possible for the date when it was built. I love the neighborhood because it is quiet yet you get to know your neighbors and everybody is very very nice. In the mornings when you wake up usually you see people walking their dogs or running for exercise up and down the streets. Forest Hills definitely has a wonderful sense of community.
Some of the favorite things about my house is the curb appeal. I think that the house is absolutely one of the most beautiful houses in all of Forest Hills. The interior is breathtaking as well. When you walk into the foyer, there are columns and an open floor plan. I love the open floor plan from which you can enter rooms in any direction. All four bedrooms each have their own bathroom as well. The backyard has a beautiful pergola which provides the perfect space to sit outside and relax.
This property is located in the Central Dauphin school district which has excellent schools. My daughter attended Northside Elementary school which she loved. The school was small enough that all the parents can get to know each other and the teachers were excellent. For middle school, she attended Linglestown middle school and enjoyed it there as well. For high school she elected to attend Bishop McDevitt high school, and I feel that she had an excellent education. Central Dauphin High school is excellent as well and both have sports teams which always make it into the playoffs every year. It’s fun to attend the sporting events, mingle with the parents and my daughter’s friends and cheer your team on. The schools mentioned above have a sense of community as well.
I grew up in Harrisburg and have lived here my entire life. There are many excellent restaurants which are convenient to the house. I enjoy dining at the Greystone Public House which has excellent food and an upscale but casual atmosphere and it’s a quarter mile from the house. For a quick bite, there’s Italian Delight or the Blue Ridge Diner both less than a mile from the house as well. The Weis market is at the end of the street and has everything I need.
I love the area because it’s just a 2 hour drive to Philadelphia, New York, and Baltimore. Harrisburg has a very suburban feel however it has all the convenience and shopping that one desires. You can be anywhere in Harrisburg in a matter of 15 minutes. Traffic is minimal. I also like the greenery that Harrisburg has. With its view of the mountains and many trees and lush lawns, it’s a very beautiful place to live.
I have truly enjoyed my time in this home, and I am certain that you will too!
